James has been making films for 10 years now. His collection of publicly available short films are a bizarre mix of silent comedies, parodies, absolute riots and rather twisted tales.

Ash Sunday was the first project to arise under the banner of Ashbang Films (half of the reason for the company’s name- you’ll have to get him drunk to find out about the ‘bang’ part).

This short film about a family dinner gone horribly wrong blends a high concept conceit (high as in that’s what many assume he had to be to come up with it) with James’s own process of dealing with grief and specifically the truths about our loved ones we never get around to discussing with them while they’re with us.

Now James is greatly looking forward to breaking into the feature film scene, with a decent slate of projects lined up.
